A Long Time in Coming - Another X23 Update

I have been finding time to sculpt here and there, but not as much as I'd like (what's new, right?). As a result, this sculpt is turning into the neverending sculpt. I must be into my second or third month on it, and I haven't even done the first bake yet. I should have used stronger or thicker wire for the legs (yes, Katherine, you were right…) - a lot of the slowness has been having to deal with an armature that's not strong enough. I compensated by grabbing the sculpt around the lower body and focusing almost exclusively on the upper body until today. Of course, the lower body got distorted it all out of shape, and I'm only just now starting to get it back. That big chunk o' sculpey around her right leg is the only thing that allows her to stand on her own right now. I've had to keep her in more of an upright position than I'd like, which makes the sculpt feel static, but I'm optimistic that I can get the right pose before I do the first bake, though I might have to insert some steel rods or find some other way to support it.

In several places, armature wire or epoxy is preventing me from getting something the way I want it, so I'm going to have a lot of work even after the first bake, sanding, filing, and re-sculpting. The armature wire is at the surface in both armpits, her left ankle and shin, and in the hands.

I may have to bake her with the right leg unsculpted, then just cut it off and re-sculpt it, because I'm constantly smooshing things that I spent a fair amount of time on because the sculpt isn't stable enough without me holding it. Do not underestimate the value of a strong armature.

Anyway, here's where she's at right now:
